Voices of D.C. Parents and Youth on Out-of-School Time
Policy Studies Associates (PSA) partnered with the Office of Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes in the District of Columbia (D.C.) Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education to gather the voices of parents and youth on afterschool and summer programming. The OST Office leads the Learn24 network of afterschool and summer opportunities in D.C. This new report summarizes insights from parents and youth about the program activities, supports, and resources that are most important to them. Parents and youth from across D.C. emphasized the importance of safe environments and expressed their desire for engaging activities that reflect youth interests, including sports, arts, and career and college exploration.
